Enid Joffe is a part owner of Clean Fuel Connection, Inc. CFCI was formed four years ago by Enid and co-owner Jim Cahill to meet the need for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. In addition to the ongoing EV-related work, CFCI has expanded into consulting on electric drive and alternative fuels including refrigerated trailer electrification, truck stop electrification, electric forklifts and natural gas home refueling. SolSource Energy further expands CFCIs capabilities into renewable energy sources.
Prior to starting CFCI, Enid worked for Southern California Edison in government and community relations and electric transportation. When SCE created an Electric Vehicle infrastructure subsidiary in 1996, Enid moved to the new company, where she was responsible for managing commercial sales for EV charging, including public charging infrastructure. She was also highly successful in obtaining government incentives and grants for CFCIs customers.
Enid has a BA in Sociology from Barnard College and an MA from UCLA. She has held many leadership positions in local civic and charitable organizations and most recently completed eight years on the Planning Commission of the City of Sierra Madre.
Jim is the Responsible Managing Officer (RMO) for SolSource Energys C-10 contractor license. He will be responsible for managing all installation work. Jim Cahill is a co-founder of Clean Fuel Connection, Inc. CFCI was formed four years ago by Jim and co-owner Enid Joffe to meet the need for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. In his role as Operations Director, Jim has worked closely with suppliers of EV charging infrastructure, permitting and codes authorities and all the major OEM automakers. In addition to the ongoing EV-related work, CFCI has expanded into consulting on electric drive and alternative fuels including refrigerated trailer electrification, truck stop electrification, electric forklifts and natural gas home refueling. SolSource Energy further expands CFCIs capabilities into renewable energy sources.
Jim began his career developing and utilizing ground support equipment for electronic warfare systems aboard Navy Aircraft. Mr. Cahill has managed projects in support of the FTA and the LACMTA and contributed to the design of the electrical and energy storage systems for the Advanced Technology Transit Bus. Following his involvement in the bus project, Jim spent several years running the Los Angeles office of Aegir Systems where his division had hands on involvement with the Metrolink vehicles, Red Line cars, ventilation testing in Red Line tunnels, and construction management support on the Green Line project. He joined Edison EV as the Technical Services Manager in 1996 to assess and select EV Supply Equipment (EVSE), develop installation products and establish charger installation standards. Jim worked closely with all the major automakers that launched electric vehicles in the State of California and beyond. Mr. Cahill has trained and managed a network of over 30 contractors. He currently holds a BSEE and an MBA from UCLA. In addition he is a registered Professional Engineer in California and holds a California contractors license. He is a longstanding member of SAE and NSPE. He has published several papers on the topic of EVSE installation.
